Humans gather so many personas
collecting masks for each role
unable to show a real face
since they lost track long ago
carrying imitations of outside influence
rephrased and re pitched as an internal voice
skilled acting on stage fools the audience
rewarding the performer – labeled a star
continuing to pretend until the act becomes who they are
feeding each personality – adhering to social order
fragmented – so they don’t know how it feels to be whole.
